The Sustainable Gastronomy Week 2025: Heritage Resorts & Golf’s Commitment to Responsible Excellence

From October 6 to 11, 2025, Heritage Resorts & Golf will host the 4th edition of the Sustainable Gastronomy Week, an initiative that fully aligns with ER Hospitality’s vision and Now for Tomorrow program. More than just a culinary event, this week embodies a clear ambition: to demonstrate that culinary excellence can go hand in hand with resource conservation and respect for local communities.

Gastronomy and Sustainability: A Real Commitment

Since its launch, ER Hospitality’s Now for Tomorrow program has structured its actions around five key impact zones: biodiversity, energy transition, circular economy, inclusive development and vibrant communities. The Sustainable Gastronomy Week naturally fits within this vision, demonstrating that culinary creativity can support these goals, in particular through the promotion of local products, resource conservation and community engagement.

Jean-François Bérard, Guest of Honor

The event will take place under the guidance of Michelin-starred and Green-starred chef Jean-François Bérard. A champion of terroir-based cuisine, he will share his expertise during a masterclass and a round-table discussion, exploring the role of fine dining in advancing sustainable food practices

A Week of Exchange and Creativity

From Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali, C Beach Club and Le Château de Bel Ombre teams will take part in three signature contests:

  • ● Best lunch menu
  • ● Best cocktail
  • ● Best gala dinner, where wine pairings and sustainable creativity will be key judging criteria.

Additionally, immersive experiences will enhance the week: educational workshops, a visit to the Château de Bel Ombre’s vegetable garden, and a discovery of the Heritage Marine Education Centre. These moments serve as reminders that sustainability is not limited to what’s on our plate but extends to an entire natural and cultural ecosystem.

A Shared Vision

The Sustainable Gastronomy Week is more than an annual event. It reflects ER Hospitality’s deep conviction that every action, no matter how small, can help build a more sustainable future. This principle drives Now for Tomorrow and translates into concrete initiatives such as waste reduction, support for local communities, and the preservation of fragile ecosystems.
