As part of the Now For Tomorrow programme, Veranda Resorts strengthens its commitment to local communities through the creation of three clubs. These clubs were born out of an observation in different regions and neighborhoods, determining the needs of its young people. Their goal is to respond to these needs with precision and to create a tangible and lasting impact. These initiatives, both educational and social, are built around three key themes: the land, the sea, and solidarity.
Club Terre: Rediscovering the Art of Cultivation

At Veranda Pointe aux Biches, Club Terre, in collaboration with The Gardenist, promotes local, sustainable, and innovative agriculture. This small garden highlights the importance of Mauritian fruits and spices – bananas, papayas, passion fruits, mangoes, breadfruits, and avocados – while raising awareness about their nutritional and cultural value in the community.
Far more than just a place for cultivation, the project hosts permaculture workshops for children, local professionals, and visitors. These learning moments provide an opportunity to discover a nature-friendly approach to cultivation while enjoying the diversity of local produce through sensory and tasting experiences.
Club Mer: Preserving and Passing On the Ocean’s Rich Heritage

In September 2024, the Club Mer was launched at Veranda Paul & Virginie In collaboration with Reef Conservation, this programme invites youngsters of the region to discover and better understand the marine world through activities such as snorkelling and introduction to sea rescue. These experiences go beyond environmental awareness - they also aim to help the young people build self-confidence, foster inclusion, and explore sustainable careers linked to the ocean.
On Saturday, September 6th, the Club Mer kicked off Phase 2, once again at Veranda Paul et Virginie. This new stage focused on safety at sea, first aid, dangerous marine animals, and swimming. Parents were also invited to the opening ceremony to support their children. New activities are planned throughout the year to continue guiding youngsters in their exploration of the ocean.
Club Solidaire: Growing Together Through Sport

At Veranda Tamarin, Club Solidaire, in partnership with Tamarin FC United, supports the youngsters of the locality through sport, particularly football. They learn discipline, teamwork, and respect, but most importantly, they discover the power of community. Sport also helps them regain confidence and feel part of a supportive community. In this way, sport becomes a learning tool for pushing their limits, helping one another, and believing in their potential.
Through these three clubs, we reaffirm our enduring commitment to local communities. By working hand in hand with local partners, we aim to continue creating projects that are meaningful today and promising for the future. Whether at sea, on land, or on the sports field, these initiatives aim to uplift our communities and contribute to a more responsible and united future.
